An artist at Faerieworlds has had most of her steampunk jewellery collection stolen.

The pieces have "AA" or "Autumn Steam" engraved on the back. The artist has posted photos. If you see any of the pieces being sold on Etsy or something, please contact the artist.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's been a bit of a long road to get to this point- in fact, I thought that this particular project would have to get utterly abandoned a while back. However, things got back on track, and now that it's nearing the final stages of completion, I figured it was high time to share something with the lot of you.

Many of you may remember a while back when I posted links and images from my original project, the Windrow-Ravenswood Deck. Well, after quite a bit of work in compiling, writing new text, adding in more material, more material, and more material... I've finally hit the final stages of what should be the last big spin-off project from that work.

Ladies, Not-so-gentle-men, assorted Others, thugs, henches, and Things, I crave your attention!

Some of you may remember a certain post made eleven months ago. A post in which we invited those of you of villainous intent to join us, to share your tales of dastardly deeds, and to take part in a network that would allow news of your villainous deeds to spread far and wide.

During the intervening months, I'll admit, I haven't been idle- from designing and implementing a nefarious plan to spread about my soul-stealing deck of cards, to spreading propaganda, and even re-establishing the League itself as one of the more pre-eminent societies for up-and-coming villains. And during all that, I would occasionally check in on my carefully selected carrier-pigeon drop points, email inboxes, and spies, to see if any others had joined the League. Or at least spread word of their own dastardly deeds.

I think it shall surprise none of you to find out that I found, after eleven months of long waiting... nothing. No replies, no stories, no cities razed, no heroes slaughtered. Nothing. It is the Year of the Villain, and we have been asleep at the switch, my compatriots!

Thus, my friends, time for a bit of a challenge. Something to get the bit back in your teeth and the blood under your fingernails.

In just two weeks, we shall see the start of Steamcon II. Villainous villains, we strongly urge you, if you're attending, to show in your finest, and if necessary, to locate the nearest League of Extraordinary Bastards outpost at the con to register and receive further information when available. And of course, to commit any heinous acts you see fit within the constraints of being in a public convention (remember, do nothing to actively cause grief for one of the few meeting places such folk as us have!) In the meantime, I strongly urge those of you interested in the League, or in proving me wrong about the distinct lack of villainy this year, to post away and regale us with your cunning plans and activities! Or to support the League, should you feel the need to do so.

Anyways, Hi there, folks. I'm Dmitri. A good chunk of you might know me from LJ or DeviantArt or other places, but for those who don't, I figured I should poke my head in and say hello.

What do I do? I make stuff. Leatherworks of all sorts, not to mention regular flat art, and even some other things, all of which may hold some interest to you fine ladies and gentlemen.

The countdown begins! Only two more weeks to go before SPWF, and I wanted to share some exciting plans I have for the event.

As previously announced, I'll be working on two panels for SPWF with the lovely Jaymee Goh and other wonderful guests: Envisioning a Better Steam Society: Social Issues & Steampunk, and Steam Around the World: Steampunk Beyond Victoriana

Not only that, but I will be looking for any attendees pushing the boundaries of steam. Have any outfit you want to show off? An invention that wasn't inspired by Edison or Tesla but by Ibn Sina or Su Song? A vested interested in taking steampunk out of Europe and into the rest of the world?

All three days of the event, I will be looking for innovative new voices and faces to feature of my blog each day, and yours could be one of them!
